Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you (or the business you represent) and AccountMotive. By creating an account you accept them.
The service
AccountMotive helps businesses find companies with recent business events, check fit, review evidence, find likely buyers and plan outreach. Research and suggestions come from public sources, licensed data providers and AI models, and can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for checking information before acting on it. Scores describe fit and evidence; they are not a prediction that a company will buy.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 and use the service for business purposes. Keep your sign-in details secure. Workspace owners control who can access their workspace and are responsible for their team's use.
Plans, credits and limits
- Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page before you buy; taxes may apply.
- Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance and usage limits. Monthly credits reset at renewal and do not carry over.
- Credit packs are valid for 12 months from purchase and are used after monthly credits.
- Credits are held when a paid task starts and returned if it fails. They have no cash value and are non-refundable except where the law requires.
- No plan includes unlimited research, enrichment or monitoring.
Billing, cancellation and non-payment
- You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- If a payment fails we retry for 7 days. After that, paid features pause until payment succeeds; your data is kept.
- Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Downgrades keep existing data, but you cannot add more than the new plan allows.
Acceptable use
You must follow the acceptable use policy, including the rules for contacting people. We may pause or suspend workspaces that break it.
Your data
You own the content you add. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service. Our handling of personal information is described in the privacy policy and data processing disclosure. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Third-party services
Integrations you connect, such as HubSpot, are governed by their own terms. You are responsible for what you send to them.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on research results.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend accounts for non-payment, security risk, or breach of these terms, and will explain why. You may close your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, and disputes will be heard in the courts of Guilford County, North Carolina, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
Changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice by email of material changes.
